Log
| Field | Default |
|---|---|
| Message (or {{var}}) | Log message |
Writes the message into the run's step log.
The message appears on the node's line in the Step Log of the run's History (see Run history). While testing, use it to print values: Temperature is {{temp}}.
Sound
Plays a sound in every browser that has Scada.Ink open.
| Field | Default | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Source | Stock sound | Stock sound or Uploaded file |
| Stock sound | Beep | Beep, Alarm, Warning, Success |
| File (from file manager) | — | Type a path or click Browse to pick a file from the File Manager. Use a format browsers play, such as MP3 or WAV |
| Preview | Plays the sound in your own browser; Stop ends the preview |
- The node does not wait for the sound; the run continues immediately.
- It plays in every open session, on any page, for every user — including an office PC. There is no way to target one screen.
- Browsers block sound until someone has clicked on the page at least once. A kiosk screen that was never touched after loading stays silent.
- If Uploaded file is chosen with no file, it plays Beep.
Set Variable
| Field | Default | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Variable name | myVar | A plain name, no braces |
| Value (or {{var}}) | — | Stored as text, e.g. {{value}} or Line 2 |
Use it to give a trigger value a lasting name (partNo = {{value}}), to set defaults, or to copy trigger data into a run variable for Read DB's Where value variable.
Get Variable
| Field | Default |
|---|---|
| Variable name | myVar |
| Output variable | result |
Copies one variable to another name. Rarely needed, since {{myVar}} works everywhere.
