Barcode Widget
Last updated
Draws a barcode or QR code of a value, generated in the browser — a work-order number for a scanner, a serial on a label station screen.
Settings
| Setting | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Format | Code 128, QR Code, EAN-13, Code 39, Data Matrix, PDF417 | Code 128 |
| Show Text Below | Human-readable text under the code | on |
Binding
Bind value to a tag, a static value or an expression. With no value the widget shows "Bind a value to generate barcode".
Behavior
- If the value is not valid for the format — letters in an EAN-13, or an EAN-13 with the wrong number of digits — the widget stays blank with no error. Check the value or switch to Code 128 or QR Code, which accept any text.
- Codes are drawn at a fixed scale and shrunk to fit; make the widget large enough for a scanner to read from the screen.
Example
Build a traceable QR payload with an expression binding value, using tag bindings value1 (work order) and value2 (lot):
javascript
'WO=' + value1 + ';LOT=' + value2
