| OFF Label | Text when off | "OFF" |

Checkbox settings
| Setting | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Write Tag | The local or device tag to write | none (checkbox disabled) |
| Checked Value | Written when ticked | "1" |
| Unchecked Value | Written when unticked | "0" |
| Label | Text beside the box. Blank uses the widget title | "Enable" |
Bind the same tag as well
Write Tag is where the widget writes; the value binding is where it reads its current state. Set both to the same tag.
The widget is on (ticked) when the bound value equals ON Value / Checked Value, or is true or 1. A click writes the opposite. Until the binding has a value, the widget shows "No value" and cannot be clicked, because it can't know which value is the opposite.
Behavior
- A failed write shows a Write failed notification, for example "Could not write … : Write access is not enabled for this device". See Writing Tags.
- The switch does not move by itself: it changes when the written value comes back through the binding, usually within a second. If it doesn't move, the write failed or the binding points elsewhere.
- There is no confirmation. For anything that starts or stops equipment, use a Button with Confirm before action.
- Writing needs the operator, editor or admin role.
